Our Story
Tired of toilet paper not leaving you feeling clean?
Fed up with wet wipe clogs?
So were we.
I grew up with wipes. My mom was always insistent about staying clean after going to the bathroom—dry toilet paper just wasn’t enough. So naturally, when I became a mom, wet wipes were always within reach. They came with me to parks, birthday parties, soccer fields—you name it. I was the go-to mom for wipes.
As my daughters got older, flushable wipes became a staple in every bathroom. But then came the $2,500 plumbing disaster. Our NYC home had a major sewer clog. We were stunned when our plumber told us the culprit: flushable wipes.
Turns out, flushable isn’t really flushable. I started researching and fell down the “fatberg” rabbit hole—massive, grease-packed wipe clogs bringing city sewer systems to a standstill. What shocked me even more? The ingredients. Most wipes are made of plastic, laced with harsh detergents like SLS, and filled with chemicals that don’t belong anywhere near our most delicate skin—let alone our babies'.
We needed something better. A way to feel fresh without compromising our bodies, our plumbing, or our planet.
So we created Sani-Fani.
